Privacy.
I respect your privacy. This page explains in plain words what happens when you visit karinpalm.com.
Anonymous visit statistics
To understand which articles people read, the site keeps simple visit statistics. For each page view it records the page, the date and time, the type of device, operating system and browser, the screen size, your browser’s language, the website or link you came from, how long the page stayed open, and your approximate location (country and city) as estimated by the hosting network. Your IP address is not stored, and no cookies are used for this. A random visit number, kept only in your open browser tab, links the pages of one visit together and disappears when you close the tab.
Who can see it
Only I can see these statistics, in a private, password-protected area of the site. They are never sold or shared and are not used for advertising. The data is kept with my website’s hosting and database provider and deleted automatically after 12 months.
Not counted at all
If your browser sends a “Do Not Track” signal, your visit is not counted.
The site has no contact form. If you write to me, I use your email only to reply to you.
Your rights
The statistics are kept on the basis of my legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). For any question about your data, write to jupiter@karinpalm.com.
