Every woman wants to feel confident in her body, but sometimes diet and exercise are not enough to see the desired result in certain areas of the body. That is where modern aesthetic medicine lends a helping hand.

Fortunately, the days when surgery and a long recovery were the only way to achieve change are over. Today there are many non-invasive methods, and two leaders in the field – Royal Grace Beauty Clinic and Confido Aesthetics and Laser Clinic – help us take a look into this world.

Royal Grace – long experience with non-invasive procedures

When asking when non-invasive treatment is enough and when work with a scalpel is needed, everything seems to depend on the extent of the issue. The good news is that, compared with surgery, many modern technologies make it possible to improve body shape without significant recovery time. The procedures are comfortable and the skin is not damaged, so you can return to work or everyday life straight afterwards.

Dr Dmitri Ponomarjov, an aesthetic physician working with Royal Grace Beauty Clinic, adds: "Modern aesthetic medicine is increasingly moving towards gentle but effective solutions. The priority is tissue quality and long-term results, not aggressive intervention. Technologies such as INDIBA make it possible to work on tissue regeneration, microcirculation and tone without surgery."

He adds that it is important to understand that aesthetics is not only about procedures but also about everyday prevention: protecting the skin from ultraviolet radiation is a key element of any anti-ageing strategy. SPF is not a seasonal product, but a year-round necessity.

Cellulite and sagging skin are most effectively fought with a holistic approach, not a single procedure. Different technologies work well because they improve skin quality, stimulate microcirculation and support tissue regeneration. This helps both tighten the skin and reduce cellulite at the same time. The best results, however, come from combining procedures and an individual approach.

INDIBA, offered by Royal Grace Beauty Clinic, is a modern radiofrequency technology based on a fixed frequency of 448 kHz. This frequency is considered particularly "soft" and harmonious for human tissue, acting calmly and comfortably on the body and helping to activate natural regeneration processes. INDIBA is also used in scalp care, where it helps improve microcirculation around the hair follicles, supporting hair growth.

At Confido Aesthetics and Laser Clinic, a lot is possible

Unless a concern truly requires surgery, a great deal can be done by working through the skin's surface on its deeper layers. "As a specialist, I stress that laser technologies work above all on the quality of the skin. Their aim is not to remove anything or change anatomy. The idea is to improve skin texture, tone, elasticity and overall appearance by stimulating the skin's natural renewal and collagen production," explains Jekaterina Tšernitskaja, a nurse at Confido Aesthetics and Laser Clinic.

For stretch marks, non-surgical methods, especially laser procedures, are clearly the first choice. Stretch marks practically cannot be removed surgically without extensive removal of skin, which is why lasers are the most effective way.

Different laser technologies make it possible to approach problems at different depths and intensities. For example, IPL, offered by Confido Aesthetics and Laser Clinic, helps even out skin tone and reduce pigmentation and superficial blood vessels. CO₂ fractional laser resurfacing works at a deeper level, improving scars, wrinkles and skin texture. ResurFX, on the other hand, offers a non-ablative solution for firming the skin and stimulating collagen, well suited to those who want results with minimal recovery time.

The clinic's representative confirms that many procedures require no recovery time. "With today's non-surgical body contouring procedures – such as cryotherapy, radiofrequency or ultrasound – people can usually return to work or everyday life straight away," says Dr Sandra Kase, a physician at Confido Aesthetics and Laser Clinic, while stressing that realistic expectations are important: "no recovery time" almost always also means a more modest result.

For sagging skin, devices based on radiofrequency, ultrasound or laser energy are often used. They stimulate collagen and tighten tissues gradually over a longer period, while recovery from each procedure is usually short.

"It's also important to remember that 'no recovery time' doesn't always mean 'no visible signs'. Some people may still experience temporary redness, swelling, tenderness or another reaction," Dr Kase points out.

Representatives of both clinics emphasise that lifestyle still plays an important role – a balanced diet, regular exercise, especially strength training, and good hydration help maintain skin tone and body shape. The best results are achieved when procedures at the clinic and daily care go hand in hand.
